Review of the Amplicomms AW500 G+L watch

Hearing Impaired Accessory

I have been wearing the Amplicomms AW500 G+L watch for about 3-4 months now and have found it to be a very comfortable, practical, and fashionable item. It has a similar styling to the Jaeger-LeCoultre luxury watches and seems to keep the time well with its quartz clockwork. Unfortunately the first one they sent me had a faulty button that kept on sticking and so I sent this back. This was swiftly replaced with another which was working perfectly well.

Vibrating Alarm

You may be thinking, “why am I talking about a watch?” It isn’t exactly a hearable but I am mentioning it because it can help those with hearing loss. This is because the alarm vibrates on your wrist rather than making a sound. Perfect for people who take their hearing aids out at night and struggle to hear their alarm clock. I have found it particularly useful because I wake up earlier than my partner and the silent alarm means I’m not disturbing her as I get up.

Waterproof

The Amplicomms AW500 G+L watch is water resistant which means that you can go about your life not having to worry about taking it off when washing the dishes or going swimming. It is water resistant down to 30 meters and so unless you are planning on going scuba diving there really won’t be any issues.

For Men and Women

The watch comes in a mens and womens model and features both an analogue clock and a digital display to set up to 5 different alarms. It has a genuine leather strap which is comfortable and durable. The control buttons are easy to learn but even if you forget there are markings on the analogue face to remind you of their functionality.

Summary

There isn’t much else to say about the watch as it is quite simplistic but the Amplicomms AW500 G+L has been a pleasure to wear.  It is a very durable, stylish solution for anybody with hearing impairment who struggles to hear the alarm of a conventional analogue watch.
